WCMH-TV, an NBC affiliate/Media General station, is looking for a Local Sales Coordinator to join the sales team. The ideal candidate should have previous broadcast sales /customer service experience and an ability to get along with various personalities from account managers to clients. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. Teamwork, attention to detail and follow through is critical. Knowledge of Pilat traffic system a definite plus and a College degree is preferred. Media Producer and Coordinator

Type:  Full Time, staff – reporting to the Director of the Media Communication Center

 

Description:  Working in the newly formed Media Communication Center, the Media Producer and Coordinator will work autonomously to generate well-crafted video.  This position will coordinate, create, capture, and document campus stories through traditional and new media delivery systems to ensure that Heidelberg culture is captured and shared with many audiences.

 

Strong candidates will have proven record of creating continuity and thematic audio/video productions, an expertise and comfort performing in various media production environments; expertise in single and multiple camera productions, expertise in preparing content for distribution over various platforms, understanding of liberal arts culture.

 

Candidates must be able to interact well with MCC clients, students and staff, be able to process, organize and prepare content within tight production deadlines.  Must have excellent communication and clerical skills, ability to multi-task, and be a self-directed problem solver.

 

Qualifications:  a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, or a similar field; a minimum of one year of related experience creating and presenting media; expert-level knowledge and understanding of media production methods, technology, and best practices, excellent writing and interpersonal skills.

 

Working Conditions:  Office, field and studio environments and occasional travel, ability to lift 25 lbs., late afternoon, evenings and weekend work.  Position will include some administrative/secretarial duties.  Projected start date is January 2013.

National Sales Assistant (Job #200KS): WBNS-TV seeks a highly motivated, detail oriented National Sales Assistant to support our fast paced national sales function, acting as liaison with internal and external customers and ensuring accuracy in the order entry process. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing all national orders, working directly with our rep firm on order placement, including discrepancies and makegoods, managing the paid programming sales process as well as maintaining files and reporting processes and supporting the local sales function when needed. At least five years sales support experience, proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Prior experience in national sales at a TV station or TV rep firm and understanding of OSI Traffic system and Nielsen Ratings strongly preferred.

Information Technology Support Technician (Job #200SR): WBNS is searching for an IT Support Technician who will be responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of various computer and micro computer systems. The successful candidate will work with users to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems, analyze the equipment to determine future needs and upgrades and perform diagnostic analysis of equipment. Must have the ability to perform diagnostic analysis of equipment in a logical and safe manner. Knowledge of analog and digital telephone systems is preferred as well as two years of formal Computer Science, Electronics, or Broadcast Engineering training. Ability to take on-call rotation and to work unusual hours, including holidays and weekends, required.

Videographer/Producer/Editor (Job #200SS): WBNS 10-TV has an immediate opening for a versatile Production Videographer/Producer/Editor with strong story telling skills who will be responsible for the coordination and execution of local programming projects. The successful candidate will shoot, edit, and produce various elements for shows and special projects produced by the Broadcast Operations department. We are seeking a high-production, goal-oriented, quality-minded, and self-motivated individual that can deliver projects which exceed expectations each and every time. This position requires proficient and proven shooting, editing, and producing skills, field and studio lighting expertise, graphic arts skills, audio expertise, and excellent communication skills. Five years experience as a Videographer/Producer/Editor in a similar market size required; bachelor’s degree in communications or related field preferred.
