Information Technology Support Technician (Job #200SR): WBNS is searching for an IT Support Technician who
will be responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of various computer and micro computer systems. The
successful candidate will work with users to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems, analyze the
equipment to determine future needs and upgrades and perform diagnostic analysis of equipment. Must have the
ability to perform diagnostic analysis of equipment in a logical and safe manner. Knowledge of analog and digital
telephone systems is preferred as well as two years of formal Computer Science, Electronics, or Broadcast
Engineering training. Ability to take on-call rotation and to work unusual hours, including holidays and weekends,
required.
Videographer/Producer/Editor (Job #200SS): WBNS 10-TV has an immediate opening for a versatile Production
Videographer/Producer/Editor with strong story telling skills who will be responsible for the coordination and
execution of local programming projects. The successful candidate will shoot, edit, and produce various elements for
shows and special projects produced by the Broadcast Operations department. We are seeking a high-production,
goal-oriented, quality-minded, and self-motivated individual that can deliver projects which exceed expectations each
and every time. This position requires proficient and proven shooting, editing, and producing skills, field and studio
lighting expertise, graphic arts skills, audio expertise, and excellent communication skills. Five years experience as a
Videographer/Producer/Editor in a similar market size required; bachelor’s degree in communications or related field
preferred.
Producer (Job #200MF): WBNS-10TV, Central Ohio’s News Leader, is looking for a dynamic producer to join our
award- winning team. Candidate must know how to differentiate and showcase a newscast that is urgent and relevant
to the viewer. WBNS-10TV has all of the tools necessary to produce a compelling newscast- SNG truck, multiple ENG

The (Hilton Head) Island Packet, which serves the South Carolina Lowcountry, is seeking a local government reporter.
The ideal candidate will have at least a year of reporting experience with emphasis on hard news. Clips should demonstrate energy, tenacity, enterprise and an ability to grasp complex issues and a crisp, clear writing style. To emphasize: Only applicants who write clearly and fluidly will be considered.
Local government coverage in our area includes a variety of issues:
• Population growth that’s outpacing governments’ ability to service it.
• A fragile coastal environment threatened by development.
• Issues arising from a rapid influx of immigrants into the area.
• Difficulties local governments face because of declining revenues.
• Changes in tax laws that affect local governments' ability to provide services.
The reporter also will have ample opportunity to cover interesting, high-visibility stories off the beat, too.
The Packet is owned by The McClatchy Co. The newspaper serves Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and other communities on Beaufort County’s mainland. Senior Public Relations Coordinator:
PURPOSE OF POSITION
Utilize public relations tactics to grow our community and sell more books.
The position will prepare and disseminate information regarding Gooseberry Patch through newspapers, periodicals, television, radio and other forms of media. The position helps maintain a favorable public image for the organization and involves knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within public relations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Writing
Write a comprehensive plan, incorporating guerrilla marketing and other budget-maximizing techniques, for identifying, and targeting influencers and reviewers
Write press releases, tip sheets and manage event publicity and oversee press release distributions and publication targets
Write clear and compelling pitch letters, press releases and by-line articles and pitch stories to US, Canadian and local media to achieve high visibility in print, broadcast, TV and online media
Keep abreast of all new business opportunities and forms of promotion
Relationship Building
Work to gain new contacts and develop key relationships to promote and increase Gooseberry Patch name recognition and its various service / product offerings
Create relationships with key journalists in US and Canada business and trade publications, digital and social media channels, while ensuring all aspects of the brand are publicized in the correct channels on a constant basis
Cultivate and grow our book reviewer program in accordance with company initiatives
Using the brand voice, work with the Social Media Content Manager to facilitate and maintain relationships with community
Communication
Drive Public Relations efforts for all business initiatives (products, licensing, etc) while developing, promoting and protecting the brand
Monitor and respond to all requests and inquiries from journalists
Maximize brand positioning by meeting regularly with book editors and marketing team members
Work effectively with internal departments to maintain a positive outlook and the consistent message of the brand
Tracking
Self Tracking - track results and effectiveness of company press releases, book announcements and other public relations initiatives as well as seek room for improvement
Opportunity Tracking - tracking/awareness of opportunities in wholesale markets, retail openings, press correspondence and general driving awareness to the brand.
Competitive Tracking - inform the marketing team of company-related and competitive-related press activities
POSITION DIMENSIONS
Scope, Complexity and Autonomy
Follows the direction and guidelines and budgets established by the COO.
Decision-Making Authority and Judgment
Secures approval on financial expenditure, appropriateness of PR contacts, press releases and events
Works closely with: Marketing Team, Co-Founders and Sales Manager

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or Public Relations and 2 to 4 years relevant experience in public relations and communication
Experience and Skills
Previous experience in Public Relations in consumer products or related industries
Strong relationships with industry-appropriate media
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience in traditional, social and digital PR channels
History of establishing relationships with general media and category trade press/blogger communities
Able to deal in a dynamic business environment using judgment, tact and diplomacy
Working in a team environment to both create and execute PR programs

COLUMBUS RADIO GROUP: PT Promo Assistant - POST 2 WEEKS
Candidate will be working on-site events/remotes for the Columbus Radio Group Cluster (Sunny 95, Mix 107.9 and Rewind 103.5/104.3), including the set up and breakdown of the promotional tent, broadcast equipment and interacting with listeners. Additional duties include organizing station vehicles and equipment. Office duties may include calling winners, filing, faxing, internet research and other duties as needed.
Must be able to work up to 29 hours a week including nights and weekends. Radio/Promotion experience required. Must have excellent written and verbal and interpersonal communication skills. This position requires someone with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent driving record and be able to lift 50-60 lbs. of multiple items differing in size and shape. Qualified candidate must be at least 21 years old.
