Promotions Director (Job #100TR):
97.1 The Fan and 1460 ESPN Columbus have an immediate opening
for a highly creative and energetic Promotions Director. The successful candidate will play an integral role in
the development of station promotions, handle all phases of event planning and marketing from conception to
execution, ensure the stations’ presence in the listener community and assist in the implementation of the
stations’ marketing plan. This position is responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of live
broadcasts, departmental budgeting and planning, and oversight of the department’s web and social media
efforts. This position requires three to five years of event planning and promotions experience, excellent
communication and organizational skills, previous experience managing staff, creating and managing budgets
as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office products and Adobe. Bachelors degree and previous radio
promotions experience preferred; sports knowledge is helpful.
Producer/Reporter/Anchor (Job #100PR):
The Ohio News Network, an award- winning radio news
network providing news, weather and sports to over 70 affiliate stations throughout Ohio, is seeking a
polished journalist to serve as Producer/Reporter/Anchor. The successful candidate will gather news and
audio from sources around the state, including affiliate stations; write stories and voice wraps and anchor
feeds and newscasts. We’re seeking a team player with a high level initiative and working knowledge of digital
editing, radio automation and web-delivered programming. This position requires strong news judgment,
delivery and presentation skills as well as the ability to work independently. At least three years’ experience
in radio news reporting required; knowledge of Ohio strongly desired. This position requires flexibility in
